Step 1:

Initially, press the Xbox button on the controller.

Step 2:

Navigate to Settings –> System –> Console Info.

Step 3:

  • Reset and Remove Everything – Deletes all the data on your console
  • Reset and keep my games & apps – Deletes all the data except your saved games and apps
  • Cancel – Cancels the reset process and returns you to the previous screen.

The console will start the process and resets the device to its default factory settings. 

How to Factory Reset Xbox One using USB?

As I have said earlier, the following method will be helpful if your Xbox is not showing any content on the screen.

Indeed, the hard reset method requires a PC and USB Flash Drive with a minimum storage space of 4 GB. Make sure you format the USB drive to the NTFS2 before getting into the process. 

Step 1:

Initially, plug in the USB drive to your PC and make sure it has an internet connection.
